Abstract |
Existing PLC based AMI is a fixed network, and it have troubles with securing metering success rate in various operating systems with fixed networks. therefore, Flexible network construction technology which can build a network with flexibility is required in order to build a national AMI infrastructure. In this pater, we designed a common communication interface, a common communication protocol, a Push-based metering process, and etc. and made a prototype of hybrid AMI system by combining wire and wireless communication technology in order to construct a single AMI infrastructure. Also, we demonstrated metering success rates with the prototype by building four types of testbeds; urban overhead line, urban underground line, rural, and apartment. On-site demonstration showed the performance of more than 500 household collection capacity per DCU, 500m of metering area, and 96.5% of metering success rate. |
