Abstract |
To achieve carbon neutrality, there is a significant increase in solar power plants, necessitating advanced systems for efficient grid integration. This paper presents the development of a Renewable Energy Geo-spatial Grid System. This system integrates key public data: official land values, solar radiation, slope orientation, and environmental information along with market potential data and Korea Electric Power Corporation's grid status, including transmission lines and substation details, into a unified standard grid (1km x 1km, 100m x 100 m). Leveraging the constructed GIS database, the paper further discusses the development of a predictive model for national and regional interconnection volumes of solar energy facilities. It explores proactive strategies for optimizing renewable energy management, such as determining the optimal timing for establishing new substations, contributing to the seamless expansion of renewable energy infrastructures in pursuit of carbon neutrality. |
