Abstract |
This paper attempts to secure safety and driving reliability by applying the outdoor mobile robot safe operation certification standards to an unmanned tunnel inspection robot. With the development of the robotics industry, the usability of robots has increased in industry and daily life, and along with this, the safety issues of robots have emerged. Recently, several robot safety standards have been established, providing guidelines for the design and operation of mobile robots. In this paper, the outdoor mobile robot safe operation certification standards were applied to the tunnel inspection robot developed to replace tunnel human equipment inspection. Driving tests were conducted in the field with robots that complied with the safety standard, and stable driving results were obtained. Based on this, the safety and high driving reliability of the inspection robot were confirmed, and it is expected that field unmanned operation of the robot for equipment failure diagnosis will be possible. |
