Abstract |
In this paper, a full-bridge diode-clamped four-level asymmetric switching converter with pulse-amplitude-modulation (PAM) was proposed. Since the proposed converter is implemented using a multi-neighboring reference vector discontinuous PWM (MNRV DPWM) based on the symmetric two half-bridge (HB) control, the implementation of the MNRV DPWM algorithm is very easy. The steady-state operating characteristics of the proposed converter, including voltage gain, were analyzed. The voltage deviation of the DC link capacitors was eliminated and the output voltage was controlled by the PAM in a simple linear manner. The proposed converter has the advantage of reducing reactive power compared to the existing phase-shift method by an additional powering cycle. The effectiveness of the proposed converter was verified through simulation. |
