Abstract |
Since the PFC(Power Factor Correction) converter is used in various applications, it is necessary to develop a control algorithm suitable for the operating characteristics of various demands. Among them, when harmonics are injected into current commands to improve performance, especially in CrM(Critical conduction Mode) control PFCs, disturbances at the input stage are likely to exceed the total harmonic regulation (EN61000-3-2). In this paper, we propose a harmonic injection control algorithm that can be controlled by feeding back the magnitude of each order of harmonics to comply with total harmonic regulation when a disturbance occurs at the input stage or the size of the load fluctuates during operation. By using the Fourier series principle, the harmonic size of each order is sensed in real time and compared and controlled through the P&O(Perturbation & Observation) algorithm, harmonic control of each order is possible in a simple way. The proposed control technique was applied to a 350W Totem-Pole PFC converter to verify the validity of the proposed content. |
