Abstract |
In this paper, a real time stator resistance estimation algorithm, which has a proportional relationship with temperature, is implemented to predict the temperature of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors (PMSM). As the temperature of the motor increases, the PM flux linkage and stator resistance change and affect driving performance such as efficiency and dynamic characteristics of PMSM drives. Therefore, in order to increase the estimation accuracy of stator resistance, an algorithm is proposed in which the value of Permanent Magnet(PM) flux linkage estimated through flux linkage observer is reflected in the stator resistance estimator. In this paper, a real time stator resistance estimation algorithm for PMSM drives reflecting PM flux linkage variation is proposed and verified in simulation. |
